Environments

The classrooms, which we call environments, are divided into "Developmental Stages", which go from three to three years, so that each environment is a small community of children of different ages who are at the same stage of development with similar psychological characteristics and needs. In such a rich environment, adults focus on ensuring that the entire community of children have the needed tools available for their optimal development.

Foreign language

Within each environment there are 2 guides, one is a Montessori guide, with an AMI degree, who speaks only in Spanish and the other guide speaks only in English with the students. This way the child learns the foreign language in a natural way, through the experiences of everyday life.

Preschool: Children's House (3-6 years):

It is a prepared environment with the necessary space for boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 6, where they can have optimal emotional and cognitive development, both individually and socially. Here they have the opportunity to live meaningful learning experiences with materials and activities that awaken their natural desire to learn, with which they obtain a development of literacy, mathematics and cultural areas. The main characteristic of children of this age is, what Dr. Montessori has called the "absorbent mind", which is the ability to absorb the elements of culture and environment that are their own, without effort or fatigue, since it is made up of children of mixed ages, boys and girls, social and religious diversity.

Downtown Campus

The facilities will be located at the early childhood education level (Children’s House), situated in the Chamizal neighborhood.

In the Children's House, individual work is encouraged through the presentations of different areas, such as:

Practical life

Sensory

Math

Language

Elementary: Lower (6-9 years), Upper (9-12 years)

The Montessori Lower and Upper Elementary environments meet the psychological needs of children of this age that consist of a reasoning mind and imaginative power, which gives them a natural aptitude for science and research. Discovering the world, putting it in the context of the society in which they live and understanding the way it works, is their main role. Projects done in small groups help develop their intellectual skills and give them resources for problem solving. Children develop a genuine desire to contribute to their society and the world.

MYP Middle Years Programme (ages 11 to 15)

At Olson Bridge Academy, we respect the developmental stages of adolescents, adapting to their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs. Here, students take center stage in their learning journey, fostering independence, critical thinking, and social responsibility in an environment that encourages teamwork and interpersonal relationships. We nurture their creativity and critical reflection, shaping young individuals who are aware of their role in society and prepared to face the challenges of the world with ethics and autonomy.
